Job Opening at Journal Broadcast Group

The Journal Broadcast Group is looking for a full-time graphic artist, working with Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. Applicant should have a “minimum of 1 year experience working in live television; 2 years experience in computer graphics preferred.” I’m not sure what they consider “live television,” but if you’re interested here’s the pertinent info:

Employment Status:
Full-time; non-exempt (hours 4pm-1am)

Education:
High School Diploma required; BA in related field preferred; degree in illustration/design and/or broadcast computer graphics preferred.

Skills:
VizRT experience strongly preferred; must be a wizard in using Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator and After Effects; ability to produce high quality graphics – both still and animated; strong design sense accompanied by composition and layout skills; ability to meet deadlines and detail orientation; must be efficient and able to work well under pressure; possess strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills required; strong problem solving and organization skills; high work ethics and standards.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience working in live television; 2 years experience in computer graphics preferred; print graphic and web-site design experience preferred.

Duties:
Create and implement news graphics both still and animated; promotional announcements; other broadcast, web and print graphics as directed.
